Stalls and Skirts

Last week we did a little stall at the Funday at Maress to celebrate the start of the Marymass festival, it turned out a lovely sunny day with no rain, this is what my stall looked like.

This week has included some skirt sewing, one custom order and two to be loaded into the shop, though there is one that might like to live here ;o)

Lots of prepping for the next couple of craft fairs coming up, I will have a stall at the Maress Funday on Saturday which starts at 1pm, after the 4 Ports parade, hope the sun shines and I get to see lots of you there.

Summer Sewing

So we aren’t really having real summer weather, so its the perfect time to catch up with some craft projects.
Tomorrow there will be lots of skirt and bag sewing going on at the café as well as some knitting. As usual there will be fabulous cake on offer too, open from 12.30-3.30 hope to see you there.

On the knitting front I have just finished knitting this very cute Pop baby cardi from the current Knit Now magazine, it is designed by the very talented Rachel[/caption]
It’s knitted with some handspun with some vintage buttons, I just need to find a baby recipient for it now.

A little sunshine

We have had the odd sunny day in the summer holidays, no3 son actually went to the beach yesterday, the first since the gorgeous weather in May, my garden is a shocking mess, seriously needs some weedkiller and something for in my pots. I am going to try some lavender plants, I miss the smell.
I did do a little dyeing at the weekend as it was dry and sunny, here they are.

Today I have a t-shirt upcycling class, I am looking forward to seeing what the girls can do with t-shirts and bits and bobs of ribbon and lace. Hopefully I will get some pics of their designs later. I am baking cupcakes for them to decorate which is always fun. More later.
